Pausing today to honor the Winter Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere. The Solstice marks the beginning of astrological winter which symbolizes the womb of the solar year. This is a time when nature goes into hibernation or underground for resting. During this time we pause, reflect, celebrate, and offer up gratitude for our accomplishments this year. In honoring our endings, we reflect upon those choices we made to overcome or change and reinvent ourselves. Many people take this time of stillness to remember their family members who have passed on into the Spirit realm. Religious cultures mark the time before the Solstice with purification and fasting during their advent.

We can align ourselves with the energies of this season by withdrawing from social obligations and observing this time of reflecting inward. All things in nature have cycles and at the Solstice we are at the end of an Omega cycle. This is the sacred pause before we begin a cycle of rebirth in our journey of spiritual transformation.

I pause to give thanks for the Divine that exists in all living things.

I observe stillness to prepare my body, mind, and soul for a new cycle.

I celebrate how far I have come on my spiritual journey.

I remember those who have passed on and are celebrating humanity in the in-between-life frequency.

I look inward to find guidance.

I envision peace and love vibrating throughout humanity.

The example of peace and love, I wish for humanity begins with me.

I honor rest because all things in nature observe rest.

I am nature and nature is me.

As I reflect inward may the voice of my guidance be the wisdom I follow in the upcoming cycle.
